Unfortunately, following on from storms Ciara & Denis, it was Jorgé that caused the cancellation of all games at the weekend. Fingers crossed that there’s an improvement in the weather to allow games to take place next weekend and begin catching up on the backlog.

Lotto
There was no winner of this week’s club’s lotto and the jackpot is now €1,100 with the next draw taking place on Saturday, March 7 in Lee’s. The numbers drawn were 7, 16, 27 & 30. Tickets can be purchased from any committee member, in the local pubs, Nicky English Butchers, the Derryleigh Dugout and at our lotto stand at Ryan’s Centra on Sunday mornings. They can also be bought online via the club website. Thanks, as always, to everyone who supports the club’s main fund raiser.
Last One Standing
There was absolute carnage in round 2 at the weekend, mainly due to the failure of Leicester, Liverpool & Chelsea to win their games. 129 started round 2 but by 4pm on Sunday afternoon, 125 were eliminated and now just 4 players are left standing going into round 3 next weekend with the chance to win €500. The remaining four players are Brendan O’Brien, Ger O’Brien, Thomas Williams, who all picked West Ham & John Tuohey, who picked Wolves. Best of luck lads.
