At Newport Town AFC all our teams are coached and encouraged to play football the right way.

Young players are given the freedom to express themselves on the pitch and are reminded that winning isn’t everything.

As Brian Clough once said “if god had wanted us to play football in the clouds, he’d have put grass up there“.

The club are not only developing footballers we are developing people, all players are constantly reminded that when representing their club and themselves they do it with the utmost respect, treating opponents, referees and spectators as they would wish to be treated themselves.

The club also implements the strictest guidelines for parents/spectators at all our training sessions and games at Derryleigh Park.

We wish to create an environment where our young players can play football without being pestered from the sidelines.
