Tipperary County Council shall be carrying out road resurfacing works along the R503 Main Street Newport between Glencree estate (Cork Road) and Ryans Centra Shop ( Limerick Road) starting Thursday the 23rd July. The works are expected to last for 6 weeks.

The works will be carried out from 7am to 7pm Monday To Friday.

On street parking will not be permitted in the immediate vicinity of the works area during the hours of operation and vehicle owners are required to have their vehicle removed to public car park while the work is underway.

There will be numerous large vehicles and plant, operating in a cordoned off area of the public road with live traffic passing in the adjacent lane.

Therefore you are strongly advised for health and safety reasons to avoid the work area and must remain outside the cordon at all times.

Tipperary County Council wishes to thank residents and businesses for their understanding and wishes to apologize in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused.

However the complete centre of the town will have a top class road surface after the works.
