Junior Season Preview:
The new junior season in the Limerick District League kicks-off on Tuesday, August 18 and once again, NTAFC will have 5 sides competing in the local leagues. A, B, C, U18 & U17.

The A team will again be playing in Premier A, just 1 tier below the Premier League. Before last season was abandoned due to Covid 19, the A team were in second place and right in the hunt for promotion. Manager, Marc Barry, has kept the nucleus of last season’s squad intact and has also brought in some excellent signings who will further strengthen the squad. The lads have had a good pre-season and it’s all systems go for another assault on promotion.

The B’s are in Div 1B and this year have a very young squad. Last season was a challenging one for these young players but hopefully the experience of playing in this tough division last year will stand to them in the months ahead.

The C’s are in Div 3A and have had a good pre-season. The management have a big squad of young players to choose from and confidence is high that they will give a good account of themselves.

The U18s will play in Div 2 and have assembled a large & talented squad for the season ahead and are hoping for a good start to their league campaign. The U17s are also in Div 2. This squad has been together for a long time and it will be interesting to see how they handle the step up from the schoolboy ranks, especially as they will be coming up against sides and visiting pitches they haven’t come across before. There’s plenty of talent and good attitude in this group and are well capable of having a very good season.

Best of luck to our all junior squads & management. Please try and get along to their games to support them during the season. You can keep right up to date with all club fixtures and results on the club website.

The Limerick Schoolboy Leagues will start on August 29 and the schoolgirls, who play in the North Tipp League will start on September 5. Best of luck to all our players & management teams. Club App
We’re asking everyone to download the club App as  soon as possible. Our App is going to be a vital tool to enable us to carry out contact tracing, co-ordinate training sessions, complete online digital Health Questionnaire forms and also streamline our communication to all our players & parents during the return to football. The App is really easy to download and simple to use and it’s vital that all managers, junior players and parents download our App in time for the return of training and matches.
