Running our club is challenging at the best of times. However, in these strange times, it’s proving even more difficult to keep the show on the road. However, we are firmly focussed on providing top-class facilities and access to sport for all the children in our community. To date, over €1.2M has been invested in Derryleigh Park but with the growth of our club the day to day costs have greatly increased and we also have a substantial loan to repay towards the building of our clubhouse. As our fundraising efforts have been severely hampered due to Covid 10 our Membership fees will be the main source of income for the club this year.
We will be holding more club membership registration nights for ALL schoolboy & schoolgirl players from U7 to U18 this week.
7-9pm on Monday/ Wednesday / Thursday / Friday (August 31 / September 2, 3 & 4) at the clubhouse in Derryleigh Park.
It is very important that a parent/guardian of players attend on one of the evenings to complete a membership form and pay the relevant fee. Membership fees contribute to;
• Player insurance, general insurance, league registration fees, training equipment, use of facilities, Cup entry fees, maintenance & running costs of facilities in Derryleigh Park, loan repayments on €250k clubhouse loan.
• An additional €20 will also get you entry into the €20 for 2020 Club Draw & Euro Millions Syndicate.
Membership Fees
• U7 Newport Nippers (born in 2014 - 2015) – €40
• U8 to U11 (born in 2010-2013) – €70
• U12 to U18 (born in 2003-2009) – €80
• Non-playing membership – €10
There are also family discounts where more than one child is playing with the club. €20 discount off total cost for 2 players, €40 for 3 players, €60 for 4 players. All new players to the club must give a copy of their passport or birth cert to their coach.
We are anxious to get as many registrations as possible completed over these two nights and reduce the amount of time & effort required by our volunteers to complete the process. Your co-operation would be greatly appreciated. Please spread the word.
