Thanks to the huge crowd who turned up to support the club’s Table Quiz in J Lee's Bar on Friday night. It was great to be back quizzing after the enforced break since 2020.

29 teams took part in a very enjoyable quiz that went late into the night, which was expertly comperéd by quiz-master, Micheál Lenihan.

In the end it was the Brett Family from Stonehall that took the honours.

Thanks to Gaye & James Lee for sponsoring the first prizes and their hospitality throughout the evening. Thanks also to Donal Meaney of Newport Community Centre for the use of their sound system.

A raffle also took place with a large selection of prizes very kindly donated by the soccer club, its members and local businesses including The Pink Tent Cafe, Adrian Whelan of AW Sports Massage Therapy, Sweeney’s Spar & Filling Station, The Corner House Takeaway, Newport’s Green Hands Garden Nursery (Joanna & Peter Czech - opposite Church on Saturdays), Ryans Centra Newport, Indespension Limerick, Gleesons Bar & O'Sullivan's Bar and Lounge. Prizes included hampers, vouchers, bottles, sweets & more. Congrats to all the lucky winners. Please support our sponsors whenever possible.
